I would love to try this on my upcoming build and most likely do but could anyone give me some good advice/tips , because i dont feel like going and buy a new board because of this process failing on me.

Mask off the areas you don't want sprayed. I'd also recommend masking off the MOSFETS as well due to the aforementioned heat issues.

Also, an EVEN spray is key. Try it on a piece of cardboard first so you are see the spray pattern and whether or not you are able to actually attain a consistent plastic depth.

This is a killer idea for a game server that I have been wanting to set up on my LAN network cart

For those wondering, heat probably wouldn't be an issue. I've been running boards, on air with Dragon Skin, and that is a great deal thicker than plasti-dip. It doesn't seem to cause any issues even when the volts are above stock. I'm going to try plasti-dip on a motherboard, might actually be easier.
