HDTV as a monitor and PC combo... How to set them up? Read in an article that an HDTV unit could also double up as a PC monitor The case i read mentioned that it could be done through a HMDI cable from the HDMI from the HDMI port of the graphics card to the HDMI output on the HDTV. I do have a 32 inch HDTV Panasonic GAOO of the CRT Box variety. Should this one not have an HDMI port is there any way to tweak it to use it as a PC monitor? I'd appreciate knowledgeable contributions. Thank you kindly |
1080p Converter Scaler Adapter (hdmi/dvi to rca/s-video) but tv needs input of rca or s-video for converter to work mind you tv spec"s are sub par the screen text will be grainey and sound will be stereo only |

It's going to look like shit, put the money towards a new display. Coincidentally, back around 2000 I had a 36" Proscan CRT display that had a VGA input. It was basically a huge 800*600 computer monitor with a TV tuner built in- good times! I used to enjoy watching peoples jaws drop when I fired up Diablo 2, remember this is when the only quality semi hidef displays were 3 tube front CRT projectors. I think it's still in use, bequeathed it to a former g/f in 06. |
