Default Cooler Master HAF 912 w/ DVD Window Mod

I made a porthole style window in the top of a Cooler Master HAF 912 to view this DVD drive with a window. Steps involved in making DVD window, http://www.casemodblog.com/?p=7881

This oughta be fun ...just some minor alterations to put a window in the top of the HAF 912. I'll let the photos explain the rest!

tape off the top of the chassis, before cutting another window

I cut a clear acrylic sheet for the top of the I/O cover, Clear & Colored Computer Case Windows

It's going to be a Porthole Window... I think it's going to look really cool with the drive installed

I added a couple more socket head screws and a layer of this carbon fiber vinyl film underneath the acrylic,

Glad you like it!

I did another in a Lian Li PC-7 as well yesterday... much cleaner looking.. I applied brushed chrome vinyl film over the top DVD spindle, to match the aluminum. The angled piece behind the drive, (closing up the gap) is the 5.25 bay cover. I'm debating about making something else, probably from aluminum sheet bent 90 degrees.

That is some truly awesome work. It looks as if it came this way from the factory. I wonder if this could be done to the HAF 932.

That looks awesome, great job
I'm thinking that the carbon fiber would look great on a side window along the borders
