Default Newbie needs advice

I was wondering if I could get some building advice. I have never built a computer before and thought I would give it a go. These are the parts I am going to order, I have not decided on a GPU as I don't know what would be good so any help would be great.

Gigabyte X58A-UD7 ATX LGA1366 X58 DDR3 4PCI-E SATA6GB USB3.0 2GLAN 3-WAY CrossFireX SLI Motherboard

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme 6 Heatpipe Cooler AM2 Heatsink 120MM Fan 1000RPM 15.8DBA 38.9CFM

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc SATA 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM 5YR MFR Warranty

Corsair TX850W 850W CMPSU-850TX 12V 70A 24PIN ATX Active PFC 140M Fan Power Supply

Corsair XMS3 CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Core i7 Memory Kit

I7-920 D0 CPU
Coolermaster HAF 922 ATX Case

If you think something could be better, or if I'm missing something, any advice would be great.

Depends how much you want to spend on a GPU. You could do a 260/275/285/295 or all the equivelants in the ATI flavor. If you've got no budget go for the 5970 ;) That heatsink you picked also requires extra mounting hardware for 1336 just so you know. This one does but no fan included: NCIX.com - Buy Thermalright ULTRA-120 Trueblack REV.C 6 Heatpipe Cooler LGA1366 775 AM3 Heatsink *Fan Not Included* - TRUEBLACK120 Rev.C In Canada.
I'd go for the Corsair H50 though. Everything else seems ok though...
