If all fan already have a built in fan controller why did you ask if it would be hard???

Maybe my question is not clear. I want to know how difficult it would be to re-route or re-wire all the existing case fans since they all already have exterior switches, to an after market fan controller instead. Will there be wire stripping/cutting involved? Are the wires simply plugged into the case's controllers and can be pulled and installed directly on the back of an after market fan controller?

In my situation, it would be nice to have ALL the fans controlled from the front in one convenient location instead of 3 of the switches located in the back. Also, the rear switches only have 3 settings (low/med/high) whereas a fan controller will give me more control with the knobs.

The wires are most likely just plugged in. I believe the fans are off-the-shelf Tri-Cools (aside from the big one), so it should be pretty simple to disconnect them.

Thanks Zero82z. Guess I'll have to shut it down and open her up to have a closer look.

Should be simple...just a matter of re-routing cables....
