NCIX has some good kits as well.. this swiftech is what i bought and has many good components. direct canada usually has a bit cheaper price.. just buy from them or price match at nxic.. Thanks for doing those links :) And I'm doing some testing on that Magicool CPU block that's included in the basic NCIX kit... It seems to perform about as well as an APOGEE vanilla, and a little bit better than a STORM on a Core 2 Duo.... I'm impressed for $35. Expect to see a review up soon :) |

i'm a little hurt that i didn't see any links to ati coolers (i know were a small group) i would strongly recommend the DD TYEE if you can stomach the cost around 130-150 bucks. As for coolant don't forget water wetter that combined with some decent distilled of de-ionsed water is awesome. Finally my recommendation for clamps depends on the type of barb. For metal i would get some of those worm gear or jubilee type connectors for plastic or polypropelene barbs i would get the adjustable delrin clamps from DD.

The only experience I have water cooling is automotive ( cars I have worked on lol) is there any other kinds of pumps that are cheaper or better that people could use like fish pond pumps things like that?

I read some where (can't remember where ) that different (cpu and possibly gpu) blocks work better or worse with high volume/ lower volume pumps is this true? and if so which combination of lets say Intel cpu blocks works best with which pump. what I mean is the The MCP655™ pump is high pressure industrial pump, where as the Laing D5 12V Water Cooling Pump Is powerful enough to supply multiple cooling block solutions (CPU/GPU/Chipsets). does this really make a difference? only real thing I can see is the price Also how does the V8 water block work http://www.stingerwaterblocks.mysite...hoto_page.html I read about it but I take it that you would have to Y connect it back into one line again?
