Default DemiGod beta to start on Sept 5th

Will be vs ai only and LAN i believe, the Impulse system is not yet ready. Will be missing some gameplay elements and will be a search for bugs and system incompatabilies not balance. You can still get in if you preorder now I believe.

The first beta of Demigod is looking to be on September 5th. We wanted to do it at the end of August but we're all going to be attending PAXX (Penny Arcade trade show) that week and we want to be here to help people get started.
Now, just so you know, the first beta we are intentionally removing a lot of gameplay elements just so that we can get people to focus on compatibility and performance. We want this game to be about twice the performance as Supreme Commander had (a LOT of work has gone into lowering the hardware requirements). Multiplayer in the initial beta will be LAN only but you'll be able to play against an AI player.
Once we have all that nailed down, we can add the actual gameplay elements, broaden the multiplayer, and go from there.

Not too shabby so far. Rock solid, looks great, no bugs that I ran into, virtually no glitches. Pretty fun, although long-term playability is definitely going to rely on more maps/material being made available. CPU usage seems a little high (90%-ish, with fps in the 60-80 range), as the game is strictly single-core. Hopefully that'll change in the future.

should get much better as more demi gods get added, I'm probrably going to be more of a general, though assassin was quite fun its just really limited at the moment. Controls where a bit awkward but apart from that no bugs, no crashes and no glitches, hell this is more finished than most of the games sold today.
