I like your game review. It gives an idea of the hardware needed to play a demanding game successfully. Nothing sucks more than bringing your new game home and finding out yuor hardware will not run it.

I really appreciate this review! Thanks a lot, I'm a "hardcore" AOC'er so I can use this to help guildies out with their performance! Great, well done review!

Great review and very interesting. We defiantly need more and fast. I recommend the following titles be tested.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Assassins Creed
Civilization Revolution
Devil May Cry 4

Anyone else think of titles I missed?

I also second to see if it is possible to do testing with SLI if you have the hardware.

Going low-end on the hardware side is great, analysing the performance of the "recommended" hardware is a must, but how many times have I read "will this GPU allow me to play at full settings?" Hence we need the biggest, baddest hardware out there. All you're missing is either a 4870 or a GTX280, and an E8400 (since you already have the Q6600). Then all questions will be answered.

Great idea. I love it.

Great idea. Kind of reminds me of [H] GPU reviews.. something different than run-of-the-mill reviews.

Is there any way you can test this with a 32-bit operating system ? I have read many complaints regarding performance on the 32-bit OSes (both XP and Vista), specifically w/ the Radeon HD 3800 series. My friend is having major issues w/ framerates even at low settings and low resolution w/ his AMD X2 3800+, 2 GB of RAM, XP MCE, and Radeon HD 3850 256 MB.

Whether you use a 32bit or 64bit OS the same stuff happens.

From what I've heard and what I've read AoC is large address aware which means it will use more than 2gb of memory when using the game and if you've ever watched your memory usage with the game you can see it can go up QUITE high.

Just make sure when playing this game to have a good gpu and lots of system memory.
