This game has been great so far. Running XP 32 bit, no crashes. My F@H is taking a hard hit because of this game though.

@MpG - When do you loose a member of your party, I think I'm fairly deep into the game but I haven't lost anyone for any reason yet?

No, I'm just talking about the flunkies who are only with you for a short time. Like after the early mission into the Wilds to get the Darkspawn blood, where you have those two other Grey Warden candidates, and shortly after returning, events transpire that see them no longer in your party. Or when you're ascending the tower to light the beacon, and those two soldiers join you for that time only.

As soon as any of those sort have done their time and they're about to leave me - off comes all their armour and weapons, to be sold to the next merchant I find.

It's a pretty standard tactic from this style of game (although I always kept some crap stuff around so that the NPCs weren't running around naked... ;) ). Not sure how it will play out in this game, but (aside from the stupid non-scaling issues) oblivion had exiting NPCs showing up at a later date to help out so it didn't do to let them die off....

Well I haven't weighed in on this game yet, but I'm about to.

I've got about 20+ hours into a level 12 Dwarf Noble fighter. I haven't found the specialization that I want for him yet. The game runs well at medium high settings on both my Acer laptop and my home rig, although I've had a couple of small glitches with the home rig.

This is the game that my wife bought me for my birthday and even though the day hasn't arrived yet, she let me load it up because she knew I would be unbearable waiting around for it (yes I'm spoiled).

So far, it's a great game and I will certainly play all the origin stories. I got the digital deluxe version from D2D and played through both of the add-on DLC that was included before really tackling the main story. I pre-loaded the game at home just before I left for work last week and then pre-loaded it again on my laptop when I got to Calgary. Started playing on my laptop and then went to open the encrypted files at home, but I couldn't because the game was already released by then. After downloading the open game files again at home, I played a bit (8 hours) on the weekend.

Unfortunately, I'm in Houston for a week without my personal laptop so I can only sum up my current feelings about the game with one word.

WITHDRAWAL!!!

Looks like they got the server issues resolved (for now anywise), now to figure out why I don't have the EA portion of the DLC..... :)

I finished my first play through got to level 21, played for 64 hours, killed over 1000 darkspawn and I have to say, this is now my favorite game. I got the deluxe edition from walmart but now I've decided I need wardens keep, pray to the maker that EA doesnt try to kill me. I'm a little confused as to why i must buy points and then the DLC but thats only a nuisance. \

I've already started my second playthrough as a female human noble and even though I've barely started it is quite different how people treat me, will be even more interesting when I play as an elf or dwarf I assume.

DLC is set up in such a way that different versions of the game get different content that can be unlocked. If your version doesn't include that extra content (not sure what the deluxe version is supposed to have) then you need to buy "points" to trade for the extra content rather than just buying the content outright. It's a silly setup and more than likely is supposedly going to offer them some DRM by forcing you to register with the website.

Edit: Just spend a few hours to finish the first major plotline. Not real keen on the idea that the secondary quests don't follow through. Guess I'm more of a "big sandbox" kinda guy........

I'm about 10 or so hours into the game now, level 10 on a Human Noble Warrior, going Champion once I unlock the option. Finished up the Brecilian Forest last night but have to take an elf back to the ruins to finish another quest. I'm loving this game so much at the moment, the forest quests were excellent so I can't imagine what the DLC as well as the rest of the story has in it.

I'm really looking forward to this game, I'm planning on picking it up as soon as I can convince one of my housemates to drive me out to EB. I've managed to hold off so far because I've been swamped with midterms, but tomorrow is my last big one before exams. Then I have a couple solid weeks before I have to start studying for final exams. That time is already dedicated in advance to this game :)

Anyone have word yet on whether the DLC (Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep) is worth it?
