I love that game, even though it doesn't like something on my pc. I managed to play without crash so far (about 3 hours in total), after setting affinity to 1 core only. (ph II 720, ATI 4980, tried 9.10, 9.7)

Wow, I havent been this addicted to a game since, well, cant remember. I am really enjoying it, getting a few good laughs from the dialogue. I am actually quite good at combat now, practice does make perfect it seems, that and more powerful spells and more health. And the thing is, I expect that I will have no problem picking anouther origin and playing through that within a week or so of finishing this. So many options that I have yet to try, so many party combinations to test, so many new spells to find, so many more achievements. I've only scratched the surface of this game and my next character will be so much better off for it.

Though, can someone explain the shapeshifter class to me, I fail to comprehend it and have yet to find a use for those abilities.

The one thing that bugs me is that the character for the warden's keep quest is right there in my camp taunting me even though I do not yet have the quest.

So far so good. Amazingly, I haven't even had much trouble with the DLC, despite getting it from Impulse. It was missing at first, but I went Bioware's site, hooked up my EA account with it, and offered my #'s. Went into the game, went to the DLC option, alt-tabbed out to log into the EA/Bioware login, and then returned to the game, which then proceeded to download all the stuff. End of issue.

Not sure what to think of the fighting system - very easy to get overwhelmed by surprise, and using the pause-play-pause method makes things painfully tedious. You don't get enough experience from normal fights to make it worth the effort. So one hour in, I basically said **** it and went to easy mode. Still, things look promising story-wise, although a lot of the choices really seem to boil down to "be polite/be an asshole", and I don't need a Mass Effect-style interface to figure out which is which. Hoping for things to get more controversial in the future.

Is there anyone else who makes a habit of, right before you're about to lose a non-important member of your party, immediately removing all armour/equipment so it can be sold?

Do you have any idea how bad it looks to see a large group of warriors in full battle armour, then one or two individuals standing around in only their britches? It's like Sparta-lite.

And do you have any idea what a rampant problem cameltoe is in the land of Ferelden?

Grrrrrrrrr.........

Trying to get to the EA "social" website to dl an official version of the toolkit so I can create a character to get the last bit of the extra content I paid for.... their servers appear to be broken!!!!!

edit: This brings to mind why I was originally hesitant to consider this game in the first place... I'd forgotten about EA's part in this and only remembered after I'd paid and downloaded it when it took me to the EA sign in page. These issues with the servers have only strengthened my resolve to avoid EA products in the future..

edit#2: Here's a link to the "official" download page..... Choose Language | BioWare Social Network Still broken of course...... :(

At the end of the origin story for Human Noble I got all the gear that I had equipped on the other characters. In Redcliffe I didn't get the stuff I had equipped on the woman that was in the party.

Downloaded the demo on steam... created a character, is there anyway to actually play or is it just the character creator.

Downloaded from Impulse, deluxe edition, got all of my download content no problems. So far the game is excellent, started a human mage, this is somewhat new for me as I usually play a warrior. Runs great maxed on my mid range system running 64Bit Windows 7.
