Thiers no way in Hell you would need a Quad to play this,
I bet a Prescott and a 6600Ultra Would rock this game.

Im thinking another PC game that should not have had the huge hype, Like OPF2.

Just my 2cents

So much for a good long RPG to hold me over.
Whoa!! Could this be Bioware's first bad game? Please don't say it's so! I was going to stop by FS after work today to pick DAO up.

Heh.... good thing I just made a larger-than-required Visa payment..... ;)

Heading off to steam as we speak.

Edit: Let's see if they can keep up the 1.2 Mb/s ;)

EditX2: 17% and it still seems to be holding the 1.2..... keeping my fingers crossed.

EditX3: Done!! Slightly over 2 hours.... not too shabby. :)

So far, I'm just blown away by this game. Only about an hour or two in, but man oh man is the Dwarven Noble origin sweet. The game's already bloody epic, and it's just getting started!

This is my first full-fledged PC RPG (besides like Diablo II), but I think I can see why Bioware has such a grand reputation. And they're Canadian too!

Don't know if I'm "blown away", but no major complaints so far. Graphics aren't what I'd call "poop", but then I'm more interested in gameplay than graphics anywise.

Still getting used to the controls, but first thing that I'm looking for is a way to change the viewpoint without having to scroll out to overview. (I'm sure there's a way, I just haven't found it yet..... ;) ).

Anybody else pick up the "special" version from steam? It's giving me a registration #, but the # isn't recognised by the EA registration process....... :(

Edit: NVM, found it. 2 keys included on steam. One without the dashes is the game registration, and the one with the dashes is the promo product code.......

Having played the game since it was unlocked from D2D, I must say I'm quite impressed!

The story behind the game is awesome!!!!

The gameplay is pretty sweet, combat is hard to master, but if you have a brain you'll get through it (finally a game that doesn't require you to be a mindless button-mashing zombie).

The challenge so far is very good.

High longevity game.

Everything you do have an impact on the game and who will be in your party and what not ( la Chrono Cross kinda, every choices you make has an impact on weither or not someone will help you or ignore you or have you killed or...so many possibilities!)

The graphics arent the best part of this game, for a game developped since 2004, it's quite good looking imo. I prefer gameplay over eye-candy to be honest. If you're into eye candy, just pass, you won't find what you're looking for here. (Graphics arent ''THAT'' bad tho ;) I've seen worst games coming out in the last months)

I tried to play both warrior and rogue classes a little so far, as melee. Tommorow I'll try rogue as an archer :)

The only bad thing I could say about the game is that there is alot of downloads, and these downloads can sometimes take alot of time, not that's it's unbearable...

Great game!

If you like strategy & rpg games, this one is for you!

Now time to put my GPU back at folding :D

@ sswilson ; you mean moving the camera? Use right button of your mouse to rotate camera and use mousewheel to move the camera (press on it)

@ steers ; yes the Dwarves Nobles Origin is quite epic, the ending kinda pissed me of tho^^

That's quite a hard pick! Having both now I don't know which I'd take if I had to choose :s

Heh... in the RPG genre I'd think the better attempt at comparison would be Oblivion. (Although that's been quite a while in Graphics terms).

And yeah, thanks for the tip Lamb. I finally got it. (Similar to NWN.... would be pretty cool on a multi-screen setup).
