Just hurry up with the game release.
I am, don't read very frequently though.

Honestly, I'm with you, I couldn't care less if titles are titles are PC exclusive.

As long as the PC versions are done correctly (and not god-awful PS2 ports like EA did with NHL 08), I'm happy.

I keep checking Bioware mainly for the pending DL content for Mass Effect, but I think this new game DA:O will keep me checking back often enough.

Is D2D solid? I like digital distribution, but there's always that niggling question of what happens if the company ever goes under. And what kind of hoops they make you jump through to play the games you buy from them.

With the exception of Fallout 3 (actually bought DVD), D2D is the only place I've bought games from in the last two years. After purchasing about a dozen titles, I can say that I've never had a problem with them. I've downloaded several of my purchases more than once and played them on separate machines at the same time without issue.

DA won't be a pc exclusive, as a matter of fact the release date being so much later than anticipated is because of the consoles. The Bioware doctors were interviewed at E3 and I was suprised at how frank they were about revealing how taxing the effort was in regards to the control sceme for the consoles. The movement and combat mechanics are so much more complex than any of the other rpgs that bioware has produced in the past and when you look at first hand impressions from the few people who have played the 360 version of it they all comment on what a clusterfuck the entire process is. It's still very early in biowares attempts to iron out an uncomplicated control sceme but at least the console users can fall back on the pause button to issue orders and attacks. Personally I used to be a bioware fan but after the absolutely terrible way they handled Mass Effects menus, inventory and pacing of that story I'm not holding my breath and really don't think DA will be all that and a bag of potatoe chips. I still have no idea how Mass Effect did so well as I personally found it rather aggrivating and had huge holes in the way players dealt with outfitting their crew and checking stats ect. But I digress..

WTH is up with that????

I can see a pre-order of a couple of months, but 5 months would have me worried about vapourware.
