Question How to gain performance in Crysis

Hi guys i was wondering what advice can you give when tweaking whit the in-game setting of Crysis.

Im asking this not on hardware basis but on your personnal experience how to fine tune the graphics of Crysis to have the best possible experience in the game.

thanks for your advice guys!

Medium setting at 1024x768 is what I use.
It really isn’t that bad, I can play at 1280x1024 on high, yeah it looks a little better,
but its not a huge difference.
Low settings are crap though, you will see a big difference compared to Medium.

I have bad news. They're not going to make any more updates.

Get the Natural Mod from Crymod.com You'll get better performance and better graphics.

Oh and for the record they are not releasing more patches because they are releasing a sequel, which is actually a parallel story with Psycho, this fall.

Read this tweaking guide: TweakGuides.com - Crysis Tweak Guide

It should help you get those last few FPS you need.

Also, if you can, play it in DX9 mode and 64-bit. (DX10 barely does anything, except a few shadow/lighting effects and softening a few edges, but eats up a TON of potential FPS).

Read that guide carefully! You should be able to gain a lot of FPS without sacrificing image quality (I got it running on par with DX10 Very High in xp)
