Default Dragon Age: Inquisition

EA lifted the embargo on reviews which are live now. The 3 I read are very positive, it looks like Bioware has redeemed themselves from DA2.

I had sworn I'd never preorder another game but I'm very tempted. Especially if I finish Shadow of Mordor before the launch next week.

Games looks good though I haven't played any of the earlier versions. Personally, I'd wait till the user reviews are out and check if the launch is a disaster (as that seems like the normal these freaken days)

Last two games I played and finished were the following:
Call Of Duty had the WORST optimization ever
Shadow Of Mordor wouldn't natively support Crossfire and Eyefinity, had to tweak the settings and be ok with retarded lighting and shadowing on my $2000 setup to play the game...

Hopefully Far Cry 4 isn't like that, might switch to console if that's the case lol

Yeah, I'll be waiting at least a month before even considering it. DIII had top notch reviews as well but they were based on a very small portion of the game which didn't offer a true reflection of the total package.

I very much enjoyed DA2 for what it is, but its design was disappointing as a follow-up to the original. Inquisition seems like a truer sequel; especially considering its NWN lineage.

It can be found discounted @ GMG. The VIP discount stacks with GMG Credit (unlike vouchers).

The noises are certainly good, and the approach of showing off a lot of the game and letting these reviews out early is definitely an improvement and displays the confidence that the devs and EA have in this game.

Whats really kind of amusing is watching people who don't know this series try to play it, its not as simple as your normal hack and slashes, thinking is involved.

I've preordered, this is my game of the fall/winter. I'm a bad person. DAO is one of my favorite games, DAII fell flat, this just sounds a lot like a mix of Skyrim (also one of my favorites) mixed with DAO and that is akin to a sirens song, couldn't resist.

I won't bother pre-ordering the game since a week isn't enough time to get through DA1 and 2 again before playing 3. I'll pick it up during a sale when I have cleared out games from my queue. Thankfully CoD wasn't that long, knocked that out in under a week.

Good to hear this game really stepped it up from DA2. While I didn't hate the game, I can definitely see how it fell short compared to Origins. My backlog is way too long at the moment, so I won't be pre-ordering it or mostly likely getting it for a while, but I'm a big Bioware fan so I hope it ends up being a commercial success.

Ditto - waiting for more reviews and actual user discussions on it before considering; plus I'm not an Origin fan. Nor of EA's decision to turn 'everything in a multiplayer' - they probably have some excutive still trying to turn solitaire into multiplayer.

But what I've seen so far looks like it will have a lot of replay value (single player). While I enjoyed the ME3 multiplayer, it seems way too many game devs are addicted to the RNG reward system to keep users hooked (and dipping into their wallets often)

Did Bioware ever say if this game was going to be modder friendly like DAO or ESV? Because if so, instantly so much more appealing.

I personally asked some of the guys who were working on it, on two different occasions, and both times they could neither confirm or deny either way. I'm also really hoping that they let us mod it, that is a huge draw for the PC crowd.
