I'll admit it looks good but I don't think its anything that we've not see from Cryengine or Unreal, just demonstrated in a different locale.

That being said I am extremely excited for the crop of engines, we're getting to the point where the engines are solid enough that standard fidelity will be amazing. Hopefully this also means we can evolve gameplay and story to the next level as well.

I'll also just say we should have been here 3 years ago. Silly console lifetimes....

Yeah I'd say CryEngine 3 and Frostbite 3 are pretty similar engines. Nice to see another player though.

The challenge is always rendering these vast cityscapes though at a decent draw distance so that it feels immersive. Graphics/Physics seem about the same as any other engine, so it is really down to performance.

I think Time of Day and Global Illumination technologies are at least 7 years old.

Will wait till actual in-game play is available this is prob just benchmark footage rendered like a pixar movie made to look amazing but not actual graphics.

Just wait till we see some in-game trailer then can judge if it's not a carbon copy of cryengine 3 or frostbite 3 cut pasted and tweaked in differ areas to avoid lawsuit.

I wish there had been people in the demo or they had blown up the extinguisher or car. If they had 30-50 people walking or fighting and they maintained that level of Fidelity, well I would be impressed. The individual bullets going through that billboard and the light shinning through looks really good though. Apparently this is running off a PS4 dev kit, can anyone confirm?

I stopped getting excited about these engine demos years ago. Show me one game that actually looks like the Unreal, CryEngine, Unigine, etc. demos.....

Well, Massive made one of my favorite games (World in Conflict) a few years back so I've got decent hopes for this one.

Agree with you Sky, though I am happy to see another engine coming into the mix.
