Default Online gaming from a hotel

Sure sucks when you're in some backwards town... or just a hotel without the enough pipeline for all the guest staying there.

Heh... most of them have a single low end connection with a cheesy non-commercial router feeding 20+ rooms..... :)

I've been living in a hotel room since June 27th if I remember correctly... I think I've spent a whole whopping 9 days since then NOT in a hotel room? Yeah, if only it wasn't so expensive to get internet through cellular (i.e. bandwith caps) as it is usually decent enough to play games that don't require low ping.

I have travelled a lot in the last few years and can say that hotel internet is very much hit and miss. When travelling in Canada I atleast have the option of tethering to my phone. I got my cell plan on a promotion when they were giving 6gb per month for the price of 1gb. I actually played some Guild Wars and SCII over my cell phone internet and it worked fairly well. Haven't tried recently though.
