Played many years of EQ1 and EQ2. Fav MMORPG ever. :)

Landmark looks cool too, like Minecraft kinda.

I was really interested in this project until I read a recent article that stated that this iteration of EQ will allow for multi-classing (you can switch between classes as needed) and levels have been done away with in favor of a skill progression tree instead.

The whole reason I loved EQ was it's difficulty, requirement to play very well in order to get to end game content, and it's requirement that players group together for play off each others strengths and weaknesses. All of that has basically been scrapped. I'd go back to Vanguard now that it's F2P before I would get back in to EQ with this release.

Signed up for the beta if anything to see how the game is before it launches and to determine if it's something worth dumping time and money into.

The amount of enjoyment EQ1 and EQ2 have brought me over 10 years has earned a purchase of the game from me.

I do hope they keep the difficulty level up though. That was the best part of EQ1. Man if you died you had to go find someone to res you to get your gear back. Fall in lava and you had to get a summon. Each class was crucial for a group. Need the cleric for heals, shammy for slows, monk to pull, tank, and dps. Those were the good ol days.

Well seeing as they said they plan to multi-class not sure how much of the days of old will be kept with EQN

Not really worried about that. Im used to multi class with Rift and kindof like it. As long as classes still play an important role in a group Im happy.

I do find concept of multi-classing a bit weird, haven't ever tried it myself officially but find it 'bad' and good for a person like me who likes to play the hell out of just one character if possible.

You can still do that, just combine similar classes. I am concerned about no levels though. That is how mmorpgs work!
