Microsoft apparently just pulled a ... 360?

XBox One Update their Policy
Your Feedback Matters ? Update on Xbox One

So, today I am announcing the following changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, lend, and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360. Here is what that means:

An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

In addition to buying a disc from a retailer, you can also download games from Xbox Live on day of release. If you choose to download your games, you will be able to play them offline just like you do today. Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console -- there will be no regional restrictions.

Their Pre-Order numbers must have scared them.

haha, yeah I just saw this too. Still doesn't change my mind, I'd buy a ps4 if I were in the market.

Heh. Idiots. So out of touch with gamers. Unlike government overreach, companies are forced to listen to their base. Too bad they weren't a little wiser and a little less greedy. I fear it's another little to little, little too late moments.

I guess we can officially call it the Xbomb 180. :haha:

Now about that start menu..... ;)

Good move on their part. Now ps4 is going to have a real challenge since the naysayers have nothing to complain about anymore. I look forward to November when I'm playing both the Xbox one and the ps4.
Btw op, I think you meant they pulled a 180. ;)

I wonder how this will affect games already in development.

Good for them. Any hope of them reversing 90% of the decisions made for Windows 8 now? Start menu would be a Start.

This is a good move for Microsoft, I really didnt expect it after the "let them eat cake" reference, but I still wont be buying One.
