What a fantastic game, one of the best stories told in video gaming.

I know the feeling. There are not enough games out there to warrant me to getting a PS3 and I would really love to play this game. I just wish Naughty Dog would create for PC as well.

I'll likely buy this game for the PS3 when I have money, but I would definitely disagree that epic storytelling is almost dead on the PC, at least regarding stories I enjoy

I'm a few more chapters into it, and it's got me hooked, but I'm trying not to find out how many chapters there are left, just to keep it all unspoiled.
If you need a bluray player, and are into adventure games at all and don't mind a little violence, this is another good reason to buy a ps3. I think it's one of the best looking ps3 games I've seen.

So since I know that I won't be getting a PS3 and since I don't know of a good enough emulator I decided to watch it on the youtubes. Basically this guy turned it into a 5-6 hour movie. So not all the playing but a lot more than just cutscenes. Might take me awhile but over the next while I'll get this all watched.

The Last Of Us - Special Movie Version (1080p HD) - YouTube

So that said this damn game had me darn near tearing up right at the beginning. Having a daughter right around the age of his when all that went down really didn't help.

I looked into emu's as well. But all of them seem to have so much overhead it ain't worth it.

There are functional PS3 emulators?

I never tested them, it's just from what I have read. Though, they could just be scams. I haven't used an emulator since my MAME days.

When I manually save a game it gives a percentage complete on the file info, is that how much of the story I have left?

It's at 45% now, and I've probably got at least 10hrs into it. I'm amazed at the work put into mapping artwork and modelling of the levels, only to just walk through and never see them again. Seems like such a shame. I do notice a bad framerate drop when certain effects are on screen or alot of geometry is around. Too bad Naughty Dog is probably hampered by the ps3 hardware.
