Nope everything can be purchased with certification points you earn, or station cash that you buy.

Yes it's a pay to win, if you get the $14.95/month membership it will increase your XP of 25-50% so you get the things faster. You can also purchase things to go faster too ( station cash ), just a little 10$, and why not another one and another, can be very addictive.

That doesn't mean its pay to win at all. Pay to win means you pay for items that you other wise can't get.

Yup, I die a lot lol I lose a lot of 1vs1 battles to guys that have bought better guns from the cash store. Not sure if i'll invest much time in this game but it is an ok way to kill some time once in a while.

I see no reason why you shouldn't put $50 into this game. Not only to support the devs so we can continue to play this game but also to get some upgrades faster.

No this is not a pay to win. The guns you start off as are still really good. The only difference upgraded guns give you is either a better long range or short range or some other specialty. Not to mention ALL upgrades to the guns still need cert points so you need to play more.

If anything this would be play to win.

I have a habit of only playing one game at a time. I am currently looking for a new game to play. Planetside 2 looks fun and it's free. It is, however, still in its beta. I've never beta tested before. Are there any restrictions or things I have to do if I'm a beta tester?
