Anyone else addicted to this game? I stopped playing back when I got hooked on World of Warcraft about a week into the Burning Crusade. WoW managed to pull me away for quite a few years but I can't even force myself to sign into WoW anymore and Diablo 3 is dead to me. So I've started playing Maplestory again .
For a Pay2Win game it's actually a tonne of fun and you can get by just fine without spending real $. Unless you get jealous of other peoples' DPS. Leveling (not including party quests) is basically find the toughest monster you can kill in 1-2 hits and farm them for a few levels then move to the next monster you can kill in 1-2 hits.
It's probably a little harder to get into now since the in game economy is quite inflated, but there are lots of events that give pretty good equipment just for participating in.
There is a lot of hacking, but fortunately many bots will log/change channels the moment you enter the map.
LOL I haven't played this game in..... 5 years? Usually people say it's too kiddie and stuff. The game is fun, but the good times are gone now. I still remember when FangBlade was the first to get to level 200.
Btw a lot of quests got easier according to my sister.
Yah the game was simplified blizzard style, I haven't had to suffer through a single jump quest since I started playing the game again. The game is really kiddie, which is really too bad because it is really fun to play. Ever since I first played it I hoped someone would make a more "mature" game of the same nature.
A new (that I've seen at least) hack popped up recently, people can kill you in the free market channels while you have your shop set up. I was getting hit for 12k+damage, fortunately I was at my keyboard and was able to pots in time. Mushrooms shops are safe from it though. I remember back when Tiger was the top level, not sure if he got banned or just pushed off the top5 list. Hacking the game is really simple sadly.
Tiger was banned.
