Well. This year of gaming may not be anything but next year.... Oh yes. TOTAL WAR ROME II
Lets just say I am very happy. Rome was my first total war and has remained my favorite since then, its still installed on each of my machines. But enough with the old.
Naval landings for combat.
Even better close up fights.
I should add that the Roman period is also my favorite period in history. I may be a bit excited, hopefully it will calm down a bit before the end of the day when I realize that there's still likely a year before I get to play it. But for now, for me at least. Christmas came early, and made this year of games worthwhile.
I think I speak for everyone when I say:
FIX THE DAMN ISSUES WITH THE CURRENT GAME MAKING A NEW ONE!!
as much as I hate to say it... Creative assembly has really never been much for post launch support, though the improvements from empire to shogun were profound so I do have high hopes. Though apart from al exploits I don't remember too many glaring bugs from my time with it.
hopefully the modding ability shod help shotgun a lot though. The community normally fills in the holes quite well.
Also, I hate how whenever your cannons get engaged in melee, the horse carriages flee away like little girls. They should go to a safe distance then come back later...
