any problems from playing youtube videos in the background while running games

usually I listen to winamp while gaming, what about using firefox to play a youtube type video while full screen gaming

would that interfere with GPU or soundcard ? I've done it before, just not often

I run youtube from google chrome in the background while gaming all the time since I don't d/l.

It doesn't interfere with any sound or video for me.

Playing youtube videos or even just having a youtube window open in chrome while gaming for some reason make my games really choppy until I close the youtube window. I'm not sure why this is happening though.
