As long as it's not another Sim City Societies, I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah same for me, loved the original. Lots of hours lost there.

I've found I prefer SimCity 3000 over 2000 for a few little things, like being able to make a good amount of money early on from surplus supplies to your neighbours.

Simcity Societies was absolute junk. I'm hoping SimCity 5 goes back to the series' roots while providing the open mod environment of the fourth installment.

I so hope so. I still from time to time will play Simcity 4. I liked 2000 as well but found it much easier.

One thing I hope they make it so people can travel larger distances. I always hated in Simcity 4 when people would complain about work being too far away. I mean most people are more than 1/2 hour away from work. I work in construction and sometimes jobs are 3 hours away from home. So I hope it is more realistic that way. I know in Europe people don't like to drive as much as Canadians...

I always enjoyed this series , for some reason mostly sim tower lol, so I hope they do make it more in line with the older games instead of the last few.
