correct me if im wrong but u get borderlands 1 with borderlands 2 purchase? or just pre-orders?

I wasn't aware of getting it with either. At least I cant find reference to that anywhere at the moment.
pre-purchase bonus is that "gearbox pack" or whatever its called.

Nothing amazing in here, but some cool tidbits. The interviewer is a bit of a retard, and totally useless at directing an interview, but its nice to see a game developer so honestly enthused about a game that it makes me giddy to play this.

The Team that has been working on BL1 and 2 seems to genuinely enjoy what they are working on and bringing to their customers.

I honestly can't remember even a DLC that I didn't enjoy or never got my money's worth.

I have not seen an offer where you got B1 free with B2 preorder, and I've been watching deals fairly closely. If you're preordering B2 anyway, I wouldnt even bother with the first one, with a month to go, you'd have to sink a few weekends into it to finish, besides, with all the improvements in the 2nd one the instant we start playing it the first will feel so outdated anyway. Still, this video cranks me up Borderlands on Steam

Re: DLC, the only one I don't recommend is Moxxi's Underdome, such a pain in the ass, I guess it's meant for 4 players though, but there's little to no story, all the other's are fantastic however. The one bad thing with Steam is you can't choose which DLC to install if you own them all.
