Curious, do you guys buy your most wanted titles on release day or wait for reviews or a sale? I'm trying to justify another preorder after being dissapointed more than once in 2011. I suppose if you budget a few bucks each month toward one big release per year it's not so bad.

I never use reviews to justify whether or not I should buy a game, I use them to justify whether or not I should wait for a sale (Duke Nukem Forever being an exception, there is no sale on this earth great enough to convince me). But since I'm usually backlogged with so many games, I never buy something on retail day unless A. group of people are buying it and we're all playing together, or B. it involves Street Fighter

I buy my games based on:
1-Inner child(my inner child is big, and this is the biggest contributor to my purchases)
2-If many friends play
3-If it has the greatest reviews on the year

Some great videos on that site that are worth watching
DIdn't see any videos. But the Images for Xcom look really steller. Grass roots it seems with a 3D twist.

I love how nobody mentions a Valve product, seeing as we're so used to their aggravating cryptic messages and totalitarian views on all-things-half-life information-hoarding. Personally I don't even give it a second thought anymore, but there's a rather large Steam group organized to get something out of Valve, and this guy's prediction about 2012.
The Group was over 18k members last night.

haha, i love this.

Me, I am a sucker for the hype. Watch a few game trailers and I can't wait to play this amazing title!
This year though, between skyrim and swtor, I have yet to purchase Arkham City or Uncharted 3, two highly rated games I would normally be all over on release day. By the time I get around to playing them, they may be in the cheap(er) section.
