who owns ps3? need tips on how to change psn id.

heres the situation. i got psn id and bought a psn game. i also have progress on games like street fighter bp score and such. now im thinking to get a new ps3 unit along with a new psn id since i came up with a better, cooler name.

.....now if i use my new id, will i be able to play my psn game on this id? and will i keep my rank scores in street fighter with this new id?

I doubt you will keep your ranked scores as that's tied to your PSN id. As for using the games, yes, you could just put the same PSN id from your first ps3 onto the new one, and then create a secondary account with your cooler name.

i forogt to mention i bought alt costume for super street fighter 4 on my old psn id/old unit. if i buy ps3 unit along with a new psn id.... will i be able to play with my alt costume with my new psn id on my new ps3 unit?

Is the only way to create a PSN ID by using a console and doing it while online? I'm able to log in to the us PSN website using my old PSP ID but when I try to create a new ID using the website, it still gives me the error message that the site is down.

I don't have my ps3 yet, but I'd like to be able to make a new ID.
