Also keep in mind that, that's $197 USD, so with paypal fees and USD-CAD it'll be around $210.

I'll sent my payment once there's a final cost and everything is finalized.

This is a great development. Willing to donate also (if we need a loan for this server, I'll help you guys get it from the Chinese government ). I think as long as we can get 16 members interested (half of one team in a 64 player server) from different parts of the country (help keep server populated at different times), it will be good. I think this will also cut down on costs as I'm pretty sure we can use these forums as the clan forums (which will attract more people, which is generally good). Oh, and if we are assigning roles already, I volunteer to sniper or a pilot .

So far we have about 8 members interested in splitting the cost, the more users we get to chip in, the cheaper it'll be in the long run, and if we get enough users we can possible get it for 6-12 months rental :)

I really need to get on IRC one of these nights. I'm already in a clan but I'd gladly help you guys out. I know the guy that is making the RCON tools for BF3 , I'll hook you guys up with the details. I can make a list of providers too. Whatever you do, stay away from Artofwar. Looks like there wont be battlerecorder at launch so I'd suggest you guys try to get GGC streaming. They help a lot. I'll try to get on irc tonight.

Sounds good bro. Yes, Art of War servers are terrible. Any of their servers I've played on in BC2 have been lagy/stuttery and I even tried one of theirs in BF3 beta and same thing. We'll be using Multiplay when we order which comes with Clanforge to manage the server. I'm assuming that's what these RCON tools you are speaking of are for?

I'm down to contribute whatever the standard rate is, as long as the server is gonna be in Chicago. Surprisingly, I get the best ping on chicago servers, and I live in Newfoundland. I will PM one of you guys today.

Yeah I think the consensus is Chicago. Everyone in Eastern Canada pings very well to Chicago (30-40ms) and Western Canada is a bit higher, but still good.
