Yeah, for now. As long as Shaw doesn't get stupid I'll probably be on the 100mbit or 250mbit in the near future.

The 50mbps is the same price as the 25mbps (old 15mbps plan), if you're on the Plan Personilzer. The 100mbps is a bit more! Geez get it right.

when i upgraded to 100mbit, my bill is still the same price as it was with the 25mbit connection :P

OH i miss my 8.5 Megabyte/sec connection I had during the school year while sharing a house with people, as houses are able to get Bell Aliant Fibre Op, whereas apartments (where i live now) cannot get it yet.

I did download 2 games at the office, I had 7-8 MB/s (on a 100/100). It was probably limited by my hard drive... only have a 7200.12. So it was fairly quick..

Most recently the DNF demo, the full game was ready to play about 3 hours before I was able to play the demo(according to Steam anyway) which downloaded at a snails pace.

Thanks for the heads up. Checked my server, I was set for Sacramento? which averaged about 1.2MB/s. Vancouver was 2.4MB/s last night, and Seattle was averaging about 3.6, with peaks up to 4.2MB/s.

The only thing I do which maxes my connection (50 Mb) is updates from RiFT servers.

ah, tried to download the witcher trailer and BOOM! 3.4 down and then settled down to 2.7 to 2.9 which is very good for a 25Mb/s connection. apparently depends on the video being downloaded as a different one was only getting 150KB/s
