Default Cod 4 sudden freeze?

I feel as if I've posted something about this before but I can't find anything about it. Today and yesterday I was playing some promod and all of a sudden my computer froze and this kind buzzing noise was coming form my speakers the only thing i could do was restart the computer. This has happened to me in the past but it went away. Now it's back! ahhhhhhh! Anyways if anybody can help me figure out the problem let me know Please and thanks and if you need more details to tickle the pickle just ask.

+1 that could be caused by an unstable overclock, that's happened to me a few times.
If that is the case up the voltage a tiny bit and that should solve it.

CPU: i5 750 OC-> 3.9 MHz 1.360V Idle is 40-42C and 100% load 70-75C (Don't think it's the issue because I have had this overclock for ages and I only now have this problem, and only in this game which is not even that demanding, also all stress tests ran fine)
GPU: BFG GTX 260 Maxcore 55 (Latest drivers, GEFORCE 275.33 I think)
MoBo: Gigabyte P55M-UD2
RAM: 4GB of A-data 1600
PSU: 750w Ultra

I don't think there is a hardware issue, i just installed the new GeForce drivers so I will see if that helps. Also I switched from speakers to my headset. This might help because I have heard people saying this is a sound issue and the past I have played this game with a headset.

The only other difference I can think of is the fact that now I have two monitors, so that might make a difference.

I'll update soon:)

I've played two 20 round games and I'm still going strong. A lot more then before. So whatever I did seems to have helped, either the driver update or that I switched to my headset.

Maybe try to play it without the headset to see if thats the cause. Do your sound drivers need updating?
