I tried playing a game this morning using my speakers and within 20 minutes it froze up again. I have a usb headset, so I guess it has something to do with my audio. It's built in and as far as I know I have the latest drivers.

Perhaps the graphics card is overheating, do you have it overclocked, manual or auto fan speed. Over time dust builds up and hinder the ability to cool as well compared to when you first bought it.
