meh, the influx of free players has made for some really shitty rounds. On the other hand there are lots of easy kills.

With the quantity of servers I don't think it is much of an issue.

Also I still find it fun and quite challenging anyway... plus there is a much smaller percentage of jackasses playing TF2 than say COD.

A big reason for this is since becoming F2P, there has been a sharp increase in cheating via exploits. Cheaters and griefers now have nothing to lose. These aren't sophisticated exploits either; anyone can do them.

Many players have favourite servers that feature players, cultures and rule sets they enjoy. I rarely play, so it doesn't matter much to me, but I can completely understand the frustration some players have with the change.

I play on about 3 different servers on a regular basis and I haven't really noticed a change other than some easier kills and some sloppy rounds but other than that the game feels the same.

If you play on reliable servers cheating isn't an issue because GOOD admins simply won't let it happen.
