Were you offended by the GTA San Andreas Hot Coffee mod, well the class action lawsuit site is now up and running.

Plaintiffs claim that copies of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas First Edition manufactured before July 20, 2005 contained parts that could be modified and combined to display scenes of a sexual nature that have come to be referred to as the “Hot Coffee” content.

What the..? People are suing over something _they_ have to do? What?
That sounds like taking a barbie doll and drilling a hole in the approximate area of were genitals would be then suing the company that made them. This is complete crap.

But lets face it, they should have taken the content right off. Its not like you downloaded the content you saw, you just downloaded a toggle to show you all that nice includedness.

Now that said, its still stupid because you had to actively do SOMETHING to have this. In its raw, un-changed EULA form, its perfectly fine.

And lets not forget god forbid you have sex with a hooker, as opposed to you know shooting them 10 times running over their body with various auto's then teabaging a dead corpse.

Actually, having sex with a hooker is part of the game,(as is the ability to kill her and get your money back) but I don't think you actually see it. Also, this is about having sex with his various girlfriends if I recall.

They did correct it by releasing a new version. I don't see what the big deal is and think that this is quite unnecessary.

I seen the hot coffee seen in a you tube video. How is it bad? Its not like porn or anything? They are dry humping each other.

I remember with max payne 2 you could use a console command to change character models and you can change one of the models to be that chick when she was getting out of the shower and she was naked and stuff.

From the ESRB it doesn't say anything about there being nuditly.

should we start suing Rock Stars for that game as well?

changing the console commands changes the EULA. and nudity follows under Mature Sexual themes. The only thing you can do to get higher than Mature is to have actual Sex. Thats it, AO, ( adult Only aka YourGameIsDone ) Is because you show Sex.

But trust me the ESRB is 3 people with really clouded judgment. The problem is that there is 1 place you NEED to sell your game

WAL-MART.

WAL-MART refuses to sell games not endorsed by the ESRB. The ESRB is voluntary, but unless you want your game to fail you better do it. Walmart sells almost half the games sold in the US and Canada ( console speaking )

At the same time I understand why they do this, it covers their legal ass so to speak, but I think there needs to be a new department in charge of this.

The ESRB was still accepting demo's ( they don't actually play the game you send them gameplay footage ) In VHS format. Yah... you saw that right. VHS. This will show you just how advanced these people are

It costs I think between 2 and 5 thousand dollars to have it reviewed, you dont even get your VHS tape back. If they fail it for any reason, gotta pony up again. My instructors have had it come back that " the blood is too red and real and therefore warrants a mature label", while they were going for 13+ or something.

It was ok if it was Blood, but it couldn't be too red or too real. Mmmm k?
