Thrustmaster RGT and NFS Shift 2?
I'm looking into getting a Thurstmaster RGT wheel from NCIX (Pre order not sure if its a great idea since i heard horror stories).

Just wondering how it compares to my exsisting Logitech Driving force GT.

I need it to be quiet also I pretty much only play NFS Shift and Dirt series.

You may want to define quiet. The Thrustmaster RGT Clutch Edition (what i have) is quiet on the pedals and the only noise you hear when you are turning are the feedback system gears compensating and creating a realistic steering wheel experience.

How does it compare to the G27.

I love my G27 with shift 1 and 2

The gear grinding sounds from the FFB i hate that noise

I have read that apparently, the G27 has gears with a helical cut.. unlike the G25's straight cut so that there is less noise.. I do not know what other wheels use wrt belts or gears though. I think I seem to tune out my G25's gears and I have not been bothered by them much unless it is rapidly making really big back and forth movements when the car is going slow. Generally, that should not happen and is a product of retarded FFB programming in a game.

Maybe try one of Fanatec's wheels? Fanatec Gameshop

One of my friends recently got the Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel and he seems to have no complaints yet.

I totally forgot about Fantec thanks for the reminder, I was looking at actlabs but now I've got a lot of reserach to do.

Yeah I've got exp with the G25 G27 and DFGTs as I used to do refurbishing and testing on those, but even the G27 seemed a bit loud at times. The silent operation I'm seeking is similar to what you get at those arcades that have Midnight Tune or Initial D. Those are really quiet, and its not just cuz of the loud speakers either.

I dont hear a thing with headphones on. After setting up the g27 proper with Shift 2, Its very real feeling.
