well, I was bound to play the game. I'd like to thank lpfan4ever for the free Steam ticket offer, and the fact that my eldest already installed the game on my Steam account. Time to play some.

What else has he installed...

I'll take Portal 1 if it's still available?
Never played the original so no clue what this game's about.
I do have it pre-ordered for PS3, which also apparently gives you the PC version, but I'd like to find out if this game really is my 'cup of tea' or not.

Hah, nvm, I seem to have the game as well, oops!

Thanks again to lpfan4ever for offering it up.

I never played portal 1, but this game is awesome! I'm not always sure what to do about the turrets though... Run up and knock them over or find some sneakier way to kill them...

To be nitpicky, it seems like you spend a good bit of time walking between levels, which is fine because some of the dialogue is actually pretty humorous. However, it would have been nice if the next level was loading while you were between levels instead of Walk load play... walk load play etc. I ran out of SSD room and had to move steam to WD Greens :(

I'm reading reports that metacritic user scores are low, something about console-related issues in the pc version, you guys seeing anything?

Only thing relating to a console issue I've seen is when it saves, it says "Please don't turn off your console".

I defiantly think this will be my favorite single player game of the year, but I am a little disappointed by how much easier Portal 2 is than Portal 1, The game is excellent in every way possible except the fact that they defiantly had to make it easier to be playable on a console with a game pad.

Beat the single player in 2 sittings which wasn't bad and I am going to start the CO-OP mode tonight with a friend when he comes over.

The dialog is classic, and I especially liked how Cave goes on a rant about Black Mesa, makes me more excited to play Half-Life 2 Episode 3 or Half-Life 3 for that matter.

Another top quality production from Valve!
