Default Is my PC Battlefield 3 ready ?

Anyone have an idea of the hardware requirement for BF3 , I presently playing BFBC2 on 2 PCs one with a i5-750 and a GTX 480 and the other with a 990x and a GTX 580, and frankly I see no differences. So Iím planning to switch the GPU and play only with my i5-750 and the GTX 580, giving me back my 990x for my Workstation. I have no problem to upgrade my i5-750 to a SB, but is this worth, I will prefer use my money to build 2 servers I need for experiments. Keep in mind nothing else than Battlefield series will be install on that Gaming PC , No Office, No Adobe nothing else. I donít want use the i5-750 for other purpose since the board and the cpu are on water.

So what do you thing I build my servers or I upgrade my Gaming for Battlefield 3

You're probably fine with a 580. BC2 is(was?) cpu heavy too, but I think any quad core satisfies(d) it.

"Quad core" will probably be their recommended CPU spec so i5-750 should be fine and that paired along with the 580 should do just fine. Apparently these are the system specs for the game:

If your framerates are fine playing BC2, you should be fine for BF3. You've got the fastest single GPU card there is, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think it would be unreasonable for DICE to make BF3 require two 580s to run properly.

480 should be good enough!

Agreed. I expect it to be 20-30% more demanding than BC2.

Guess it's time to start saving money for a new rig. I'll probably be able to run BF3 with little problems, but another year or so down the road after it comes out, I'll probably be running into games that I will no longer be able to run on max settings.
