IIRC the GPUs needed for it were tri-SLi 580GTXes....but yes...sick, very...very sick

Yes they did state that it was running on tri-sli 580's. Remember this is running in real time and it is only a showcase to show what is possible with the unreal 3 engine if you use it to its potential.

I for one would love to have a game that looked that good. Of course you would need to have all next generation cards to make it even remotely playable.

Yes, it runs on Tri-580s and no, it is not pre-rendered graphics.

Outside of pre-rendered graphics, this is the best I've ever seen in realism, I love how the skin can look porous and the hair is realistic, etc, but they still miss at making the human completely realistic. Mostly, I think the problem is still the lighting and the way that it's too glossy on the person/reflects. Also, there are some areas where they left things to be a bit simple, making them look CG (like the outfit, etc).

It will be interesting to see if games come out that actually look this good. It's one thing to build a demo product that maxes out your game engine and another to actually make a game that uses that high level of details/features!
