Default Crysis Natural Mod V1.2 Released!

This is a great looking Mod that is getting lost of attention. Don't get it confused with the Realism mod which is something different. Both are somewhat like the Cine Mods for HL2 but of course... way sweeter on Cryengine2. Take a look, there's lots of nice screen shots and an installer now available. Got mine and looking forward to playing through again with slick new colouring, effects and increased performance.

OK Just installed the mod and did a quick run through with the GPU benchmark to see how performance compared to Crysis vanilla v1.0 & v1.1. I am pleased to announce that the natural mod gave me a small boost of about 2-3FPS. Not bad considering the Crytek 1.1 patch actually lowered my performance by a fraction of 1FPS :\

I used "Very High on the Cheap" @ 1680x1050 with my system at stock for all the tests, DX9 XP SP2.

V1.0 Vanilla

V1.1 Vanilla

Natural Mod V1.2 No Depth of Field

Edit:
I tried another test because the Natural Mod disables Depth of Field by default. I actually got slightly better performance with it enabled but I doubt it is due to this setting?

Natural Mod V1.2 With Depth of Field Enabled

Now if there was just dinosaurs...or the newest patch for Crysis would stop corrupting my save files...

Anywho, I've been looking at this, but I dunno, some parts look amazing, while others look...so so...but whatever, might have to give it a whirl until a T-Rex eats me...

Same here. Those two are the mods using Cryengine2 interest me the most, so far. I just hope they are not in dev forever. I know it's hard to get a good mod out. I can't even imagine the work that goes into it. I just finished Minerva and that took 2 years . And it seems like I have been waiting for Black Mesa Source since HL2 came out. I am now playing Rock 24 and it's pretty impressive as well. Not sure how long the dev took though?
