I have no gripes with Origin. I found it works well for what it is designed for. Yes, I would rather purchase the game through steam, but I cant, so Origin is at least better than having to buy DVD's and isntall that way. As an aside, I downloaded MA2 with my free game voucher through Origin, and it was blistering fast download speeds. I got all 11GB in a matter of 20-30mins tops.

I forgot about that, Origin always gives me steady download speeds near my maxmium download speeds whereas steam as nearly never been able to ever come close (when i had the 75 mbps line). Hell some of the times steam servers will get "overloaded" and they'll stop my download all together or go down to a trickle.

Also, anyone want to teach me how to fly in BC2, I just can't seem to figure it out.

Try inverting your air controls. Sometimes that helps. You just need to keep the craft level at first. It is going to take you some time, but at least it is much easier to fly in BC2 than in BF2. It took me a ton of time to get the chopper down in BF2, and as soon as I jumped into BC2 I was pwning the skies. Try to find a mostly empty server to test flying.

I guess I could make a new soldier whose K/D can be in the negatives to figure out how to fly. It would be nice as there have been times where I could have really helped out my team if I knew how to fly.

I'm out of action until my 6970s arrive either today or tomorrow, running on a 3870x2 and on one screen make me really sad.

Thanks for the offer none the less, maybe i'll be able to take you up on it this weekend

Pretty unfair to compare steams servers to origins servers on download speeds.

Think about the logistics and difference in subscriber base before you go off on that.

Personally steam maxes out for me anytime I buy a new game, even on release day.

That said, I could care less what origin does. I will shut it off when I am out of game just like I do steam.

Bring on BF3!!!

I learned by using keyboard only.
WSAD for up/down/left/right and the arrow keys for pointing the heli where I wanted it to go.
Space can still be used to fire.

Once I got the handling figured out I switched to mouse instead of arrow keys for direction and haven't looked back.

Jump in an empty server running Heavy Metal - lots of choppers to practice with on that map.

Sure. Hold "W" and never let it go. This is lifting or thrust. Use the mouse to tilt the chopper, to make it move side to side, but still facing the same direction, and use arrow keys to turn the chopper on an axis, or make it fly around something.
Once you get comfortable, experiment with using "S" to descend sharply. The chopper descends faster than rises, so that is useful for dodging stuff.
