Ted it is a totally different game modded.

Head over to skyrimnexus and grab the mod manager , 2k is a must have and loving the cbbe :)

I run 35 mods so far and try out the new files almost everyday, there is some awesome visual mods that sometime dont get the attention they should.

Anyway completely different game visually once you get it going.
Just so we're clear here SG, this is the correct link to what you're talking about????

Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community

I've finally got SLI back up and Skyrim loaded so I'm ready to make it pretty before going too far.... :)

Yup thats is it, you want to use the mod manager for ease of use.

Look through the top 25 mods on skyrim nexus that is the best start. There are tones of nice "single" mods that dont get attention but thats the place to start top 25.
You will want to make a account though since you have to be logged in to dl the larger texture mods FYI.

I haven't even really started playing the game yet, and it looks pretty close to spot-on. I know the basket over the head so you can steal crap was posted here a while ago..... :)

So other than the 2K textures and the replacement world map, are there any "must have" mods which are strictly eye candy related? I don't really want to start mucking about with the gameplay until such time as I've had a chance to play with it as intended.

I think SkyUI is a must have: SkyUI at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community

Categorized Favourites Menu is also useful: Categorized Favorites Menu at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community

I'm not sure if you'd really count them as "eye candy" but since they improve the interface they are, in a way, related to the visuals.

There is also an updated Water/Rain & Weather mod that makes it look even better. I'm not on my Skyrim PC, so I dont remember the name. I'm sure there is a few out by now, maybe even better then the one I had.

SkyUI is for the interface as well. Sorry if that's not what you were looking for.

Nope, not a problem at all, it's not installed yet and it was a pretty quick DL. :)

The 2K textures mod on the other hand is still downloading.... ;)
