Default Steam's Scavenger Hunt

Those crafty devils at Steam have done it to me again.

They are running a scavenger hunt with the top prize being 100 games of your choice.

The great thing about the scavenger hunt is some of the entries are earned by playing games and earning achievements.

The terrible thing is every game that is going to have an entry associated with it will be on sale. Thus making the temptation even harder to resist!

And they got me right away with Chime. The crazy thing is I already own it on Xbox. Now I own it twice! I basically bought it for the exclusive Still Alive track. And it's only $1.25. And it still gives to the charity.

So yeah, anyone else getting suckered by those bastards?

I already have the poker game and the other 2 dont interest me today but it is quite possible depending on future sales and/or objectives that I might be tempted. And I do want that 100 games, even though I have no idea what they would be.

I'm betting there will be enough "Free" entries to make the 10 needed for the grand prize. Free being like updating my avatar.

Chime is actually way better on the 'ol PC than it is on Xbox so I don't mind owning it twice!

It seems more like a sales pitch to me. The only thing I might do today is upload a new avatar, but that is about it. I'am going to be buying any new games just to build up points.

And the games they have on sale dont even look that good to start with.

Of course it is a sales pitch, they are trying to give people more incentive to buy one of the games on sale. No one is forcing you to buy any of the games.

Cool, bought the poker game at 40% off, pretty much JUST so I can hear the heavy voice-overs and laugh at them :) Well worth the $3 just for that.
