Does Steam have "Black Friday" Sales?
 

I'm looking to buy a few games before the holidays. Anyone know if Steam puts on a sale on Black Friday? I bought a decent package in the summer and I am now looking to add to my library. Would love to see a few games go on sale before Christmas.

Yes they do. So will Impulse and I am sure D2D will also have one.

Don't forget steam usually has a huge sale in December. Or the sale on boxing day. The end of the year is an expensive time!

Well, I guess now I am going to have to decide on what to get. Crossing my fingers for Black Ops. :)

I doubt Black Ops goes on sale so soon. IIRC MW2 came out around the same time last year and it was not part of the Thanksgiving sale or xmas sale. Heck I can't even remember if MW2 even went on sale once since it came out, most games usually go on sale for 25-50% off after a month or 2.

I am waiting for Claptrap's Robot Revolution (likely 3.33 on sale like the others) and Dragon Age Awakening to finally go on sale on Impulse or for the ultimate edition to go on sale for 19.99 or less. If Worms Armageddon and Grotesque Tactics: Evil heroes go on sale for under 5$ I might consider those as well, but beyond that there really isn't anything of interest (unless there are some truly great sales).

I'm almost tempted to get the retail version of Hot Pursuit 2 just so I can put 1 & 2 on a shelf next to each other.

I'm unsure about how good Black Friday will be but last December's holiday steam sales were simply AWESOME! I think there was a thread on it last year. I spent too much money, lol... and I'll spend a lot this year too if there's good deals on good games.

Can't wait!

Oh ya, can't wait for the Holiday sale on Steam, should be epic as always. We'll see what it brings this year.
