It is still a real representation of the game engine, with the exception of it not being real time for obvious performance-related reasoning. All physics and visual rendering processes are still the same as used during normal play in real-time, but only systematically 'pre-rendered' with no consideration for time and the compiled into a video. So that means if we had a home machine capable of doing this in real-time, it will look the same as these captured segments.
