Screw it I might as well grab BF3, I doubt I will see lower than 25% off before release.

Yep, I doubt it. I'll also add that I just installed Brink and it uses Steamworks which I didn't notice while buying it, which is sweet!

Jesus Christ, Brink is terrible... If you are debating on whether or not you should get it, wait for the main reviews for PC, because I made the huge mistake of pre-ordering it. I know the reason for its poor performance and unplayable bugs are the fact that it just came out, but comon... This is like Crysis 2 all over again >.< At least it was only 37 bucks.

Pretty common for Bethsoft. I honestly don't think they test their games before releasing them.

Civ 5 disappeared from My Games list. All of the local files are still on my computer but Steam doesn't show it in my list. If I try to launch it from the Steamapps folder it just brings up the Steam Store. I've tried reinstalling the client and even completely reinstalling Windows with no luck. Trying to enter the product key gives me a "you already have this title" message.

The Support team has been giving me the run-around for the better part of a month now but yesterday was the last straw: they told me to contact the developers. Yeah, like that's going to go somewhere considering the problem is with the client rather than the game itself...

This just goes to show that any software that relies on another 3rd party piece of software to actually launch is bound to have problems somewhere down the road. In this case it is preventing me from playing on of my favorite games.

^the last time I had that problem, I did the old steam trick of deleting clientregistry.blob and it fixed everything. I had lost like 20 different titles and a reinstall of steam didn't fix it. But delete that file and most steam problems are fixed.
