Thoughts/Opinions: Diablo I on iPhone

I was just looking at some news about Diablo III and then some other news about the iPhone. I put the two together and thought, "Wouldn't Diablo I on the iPhone be completely AWESOME?"

I say Diablo I because of the simplicity it had compared to Diablo II. Picking up items, hitting and casting spells. No spell trees, one row of pots, very down to earth. I have a feeling that it could very well work with the touch screen size.

What are your thoughts on it? I'm only dreaming for now, but if it become a reality, I'd totally buy it!

I suppose it could work though it could be difficult to target enemies unless it is changed quite a bit.

i say give it a try. will be interesting on how youll be able to play :)

naw it's not hard. multitouch attack selections and other such effects can make for a very efficient interface.

Might as well. I imagine it probably wouldn't be too difficult for Blizzard to do.

I wouldn't say a direct port but a new game with new interface.

Rather than looking for a port of a 10+ yr old game... what about torchlight instead?

Indeed thats why i voted no, torchlight on mobile phones would make a lot more sense then D1
