Duke Nukem Whatever.

Time has passed this game by. I'm tired of all the "it's coming out/it's not coming out" news over the last 13 years. If and when I do see the retail game box sitting on a store shelf I'll pause and say to myself "Oh, it finally made it. That's nice." and then move on past it to choose a game more deserving of my money.

I think it's just been too long for the blue collar FPS style that is Duke. The genre has evolved and this kind of shooting gallery might be fun for some people, and others may revel in nostalgia with DNF, but it will likely just be meh, especially considering the ridiculous state of its development. But it isn't out yet and I would be more than happy to be proven wrong so I'll be on wait and see status I guess.

1) This game is obviously not gonna appeal to the generation of gamers that exist today. Those who grew up with Duke will play this with much enthusiasm and have fun playing it.

2) Everyone needs to shut the **** up about how shitty the game will be. Nobody has a clue and don't say that because it was made for a console it'll be crap on PC. Lets not forget Borderlands was a console game as well as PC and look how well it faired.

Lets all just keep the asinine comments to ourselves and wait for real reviews and gameplay and feedback

Ok lets think about this for a moment:
The Demo BEGINS with a tutorial on how to piss into a urinal.
The Demo ENDS with a BJ from twins.
In between their is a butt load of sexual innuendo. Just like the original.
How bad can it be?! Srrsly?

If this is ever offered on steam....im pre-purchasing it.

Hell even if its just DN3D with modern graphics....I will be happy as the high res pack for DN3D made it awesome.

Of course I remember playing DN3D so Im probably the right demographic for it. :)

I played DN3D but I still don't have high hopes. Better to not have high hopes and if it is good than to be all hyped up and it turns to be crap.

It still may be a great game.... IF all they have is duke killing a lot of aliens and saying his quotes than I don't care how much it sucks I will still buy it.

I reserve my judgment till release.

Showing symptoms of consolitis. Inevitably I'll still play the damn thing and enjoy it because it's Duke Nukem.

Duke Nukem Forever is being finished up by Gearbox.
Gearbox made Borderlands.
Borderlands is win on consoles AND PC.

Therefore, if my formulaic skills are working,

Duke Nukem Forever = win.

of course, like everyone else here should, I reserve judgement until i get more than 3rd person footage of it. Everyone here citing 'consolitis' and other inane complaints need to hop off the "OMG CONSOLE GAMEZ ARE FOR NOOBZ" bandwagon.
