Default Codemaster's F1 comes out Sept 22!

Hey guys! Codemasters has their new game F1, coming out on sept 22. Damn thats a lot sooner than i thought! So excited :)

Its from the same people who did dirt and grid and such, and from all reports this is going to be one of the first actually fun and playable F1 games to come out.

Steam has it for 10% off on preorder now.

I have high hopes for this one. I love the way driving a F1 feels if it's done right. I'll be trying it out.

Yeah, the fact that Codemasters involved former F1 driver Anthony Davidson in the design and testing of the game gives me high hopes as well.

It's priced correctly too. $36 for pre-purchase. Not $59.99 like a lot of the EA games keep trying to get. I like driving games, so I'm going to look for some previews on this.

I just checked out some of the dev diaries at the official game site. I'm glad to see that they put in the effort to make it as realistic as possible, but still have the option to reduce the difficulty if you're new to f1 or racing games in general.

I'm really really excited about this, since first I'm a long time F1 fan, but secondly because the weather looks amazing, the graphics look amazing, and there has been a lot of cooperation between the teams themselves and codemasters (anthony davidson's involvment also get me quite excited as well)

Should be interesting driving for the different teams I support (Mclaren, Force India, and Lotus) considering they span all three "tiers" front runner, mid field, and new team. Just hope the physics and driving feel as good as I think they are going to.

F1 has been on my radar for a while now. However, I probably will get the console version as opposed to PC.

I have to say this has peeked my interest as well. I mean there are lots of racing games, but this one looks like it really handles the details of the entire experience very well. I can't wait.

Good God. Looks great....but. Codemasters already have a great DX11 engine used in Dirt 2. Why not use it for this game instead of DX9?
