Ya, its definitely not a "rubbin' is racin" kinda game. I think a tri-monitor setup is going to be epic for this game. It will definitely add to the immersion, but also give you a lot more sense of your positioning and other cars around you. Which will be much more important in open wheel cars.

I preloaded it yesterday.
I read you can enable DX 11 in the config file but it not going to be supported until it's patched.

I have confirmed with the developers that it is IMPOSSIBLE to force DX11...regardless of what that article says. What they are doing is replicating the force DX11 method from DiRT 2 but in this case it doesn't do anything due to the fact that Codemasters has not included the DX11 API hooks within the game config files. Those screenshots are quite obviously DX9 as they lack a number of features such as tire contours on wet surfaces, persistent particles, etc.

I love it when a publication publishes an article without knowing what they are talking about.

That is disappointing that the game isn't DX11 out of the box. I'll still check the game out for sure but not sure which system I will buy it on now that its not native DX11.

You know, DX11 missing is probrably the least of my concerns with this game, well that may be because I dont have a DX11 card but I still dont see it being a big deal in the big picture

I'm most concerned with physics, realism and track detail. Pretty graphics are a bonus.

I've been playing around with Ferrari virtual academy since it was released last week but its only the Ferrari test track but 2 more are coming.

there are a few reviews out ign has a 360 review up for the 360 though... Simracing has a bit of a review up, saying they liked it a lot, and that there are some cons but the pros heavily out weigh them. I"m getting very excited. I am so happy that I have an early class tomorrow and the game is unlocked right as it ends, so happy. Do a little dance, sing a little song GET DOWN TONIGHT!!! (well actually tomorrow but hey)

Anyone thought of a HWC F1 team, if any of you get the pc version me and at least one friend of mine should have the game and be ready to play online say next week or so if anyone is interested.

edit: link to the simracing one, be sure to read the comments of that as well as the ferrari and lotus videos. Dont necessarily watch the videos as they are trying to drive as expert with 0 assists and fail miserably but still interesting.

I pre-ordered it from steam, but won't get to play on release day, 12 hour nightshifts tend to spoil things like that. Oh well, couple days off starting Wednesday morning, that'll be a good start.
