Default GRAW2

I bought Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 tonight at EB Games for $30.00 and well since I don't have my rig built, I'm tempted to install it on the wife's Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop but I doubt this thing will run the game.

Lets compare minimum system requirements to the specs of this laptop.

OS: Windows XP/Vista - check (Vista Home Basic)
Processor: 2.0GHz Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon (2.8GHz recommended) - check (2.0GHz AMD Turion 64 Mobile)
RAM: 1GB - check (1.4GB)
Video Card: 128MB Direct X 9.0c (256MB recommended) - check 128MB ATI Radeon Xpress X1150 integrated graphics - Direct X 10
Sound Card: Direct X 9.0c compatible sound card - check SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC Direct X 10 compatible.
DVD-ROM: 4x DVD-ROM - check 16x DVD-RW
Hard Drive Space: 5GB - check 37.6GB free

Well it appears this Dell does meet the minimum system requirements.

You will probably not have the best experience though, I swear I saw it somewhere that it's a resource hog, but you know, I could just be sick in the head, and instead of actually reading that, I just made it up without knowing it! I really ought to get my hands on it...but...but...the original Ghost Recon was so much better, and I just can't bring myself to destroy the memory of those good times!

Playing it on this laptop will probably not be an enjoyable experiencing. I'll just have to wait till I build my rig. I fell in love with the first Ghost Recon. One thing I like about the series when playing multiple player is there is none of this jumping B.S that you see in other games for players to help keep them from getting shot.

How do you like the game? I only enjoyed the original Ghost Recon and its expansions. The GRAW extensions have strayed way too far from the franchise's stealth/infiltration roots and, to me, has turned into a real jumbled mess of Battlefield 2 meets Black Hawk Down with the over-emphasized cool-factor from Gears of War.
