I've had the dupe problem happen recently.

People called me a whiner noob, but the RNG is not supposed to ever drop the same item, same stats, and the same NAME one after another in the same session.

It's not impossible, but since it's happening a bit more often now, I say it sux, why couldn't it drop me multiples of something good then? :P

It happened during a sequence of "high-lag" in an ACT3 run with 3 other friends.

Not sure if that's the reasoning.

The pure nature of RNG makes this untrue, if it isn't supposed to ever drop 2 exact items in a row it isn't RNG.

Yes, but the chances of it happening even once are silly small, let alone happening to 3 people on the same forum who have no reason to lie about it.

Yes I should have phrased it better. RNG means that it can roll the exact same item. But the odds are supposed to be ridiculously low. Same name, same stats, rolled in the same order, mind boggling.

Oh yeah for sure the chance is low and I fully realize the system is bugged. They still haven't even fixed the WD slow bug and how sometimes it just doesn't work so I am really not surprised.

At the end of the day no one would be complaining if they got 2 epic items in a row though people are just pissed when they are both garbage. As long as the chances of that happening are the same who really cares.

Same error for me, I ended up fixing it by deleting the realmlist.dtf from the Data_D3 folder.

Dropped the legendary sword with "chance to summon angelic assistance" (skycutter). Too bad the DPS is mid 500s and it doesn't have a socket. :(
